Photoshopped composite of six images of the lunar eclipse of December 20th, 2010. Technical details: Canon 5D II camera on steady tripod. 300mm f/2.8 lens with 2x teleconverter for 600mm total. Exposure mostly f11, but varies from f11, 1/80sec, ISO 400 all the way to f5.6, 1/4sec, ISO 3200. It may not seem to the eye that the eclipsed moon is more than 1000 times darker than the lit moon, but it is.
