Susan: you will have many chances to get very close to the animals. But you are restricted in where you can go. If they're on a beach or path that you're allowed on, you can get close, but you can't go off the path. I did only light postprocessing; some crops and levels.

I work with basically two lens, canon ef 100-400 and 17-40... and so.. was pleasantly surprised to learn that these are the two lens you would recommend taking to the Galapagos....my first trip! Your images are amazing, and your technical
advice, down to how to carry your gear... was details and much appreciated. How close can you get to these amazing creatures.... i mean, can you just wander around taking pictures or is it pretty strict? Do you do any post-production of
your images. Thanks so much for your input! Susan

Your pictures are a jo! As someone trying to plan a trip to the Galapagos and finding little really detailed material to consider (especially regarding equipment and lenses) I wanted to drop you a note and thank you for the effort you put into such clear technical notes! It was a pleasure to stumble into your gallery!
